This synthetic steel wool pad is compatible with water-based strippers and finishes. This synthetic steel wool pad is smooth's and de-nibs wood prior to coating with paint or varnish. Recommended for between coat sanding of varnish or lacquer. Also for final cleaning of finishes from wood furniture. Not recommended for use on glass. Synthetic wool pad will not shred, splinter or rust like steel wool does. Rinse and reuse.
